What more can I say? This book is high, highly enjoyable. Like an activity you love doing over and over, no matter how many times you do it. It's not perfect--it seems like the characters only reach conclusions based upon their observations like no one else does... but that's very common among humans. Think of Albert Einstein and his colleagues who understand the Theory of Relativity from their discussions and explore it. Do we understand what they're talking about? Nope. But such convictions are real.This adventure is fun, fun, fun. I'm going to badger the author to continue this series, so I may bring him grief. Alas! I'm surprised this is not a best seller yet. Maybe just a matter of time.
Disclosure: this book is just a continuation of the adventures, just like random jumping into a part of a story, in order. There's no introduction and no ending, just so that you know. But it's worth it.

I love the book!
This is the second book of the series, in this book we find out about the side affects of the portal.
There are a lot the mystery, and more questions.
The illustration is unique, the scenery and the characters were made in spacial way, that I am very impress. The story is fastening and engaging, the book is well done.
I recommend this book.
I cannot stop reading this series. This book just opened up more questions than it answered. Some new theories about the portal were presented and some crazy occurrences uncovered new secrets. There is a possible thief or enemy on the island, but nobody knows why he is there. They are unsure how many eggs are left and visions of Gareth (the youngest son of the professor) may be the key to unlocking the truth behind it all. I believe him, but others are more skeptical.
I flipped through this book so quickly, I might go back and re-read some parts to try to come up with my own theories. And then the ending...ahh..on to book three I go.
I was looking forward to reading this second volume, and it was worth waiting for.
Really gripping and entertaining story.
We got more questions to answer, so I hardly can wait for the continuation.
